PR Senior Account Executive

Here at The Variable, we’re searching for the most badass Senior PR Account
Executive the world has ever known. Someone that can craft strategic plans in
super smart ways and bring said plans to life. Someone who can pitch killer ideas
and angles to the media and win their hearts and minds with smarts and charm.
Someone who can deploy programs and content through social channels in ways
that get the world talking. Someone to help make us famous by sharing our great
work with industry media peers and outlets.

We are looking for non-traditional thinkers. Employees who succeed at The
Variable come up with brilliant strategies and campaigns one day and
breakthrough product development ideas the next. (Did you hear about the
energy drink we created? Cause we did. Or that we have a screen printing
press? Cause we do. Your idea could be next.)

This person will need to be the self-starting, strategic-thinking, entrepreneurial
type. Someone that’s funny and engaging and hardworking and willing to pitch in
on whatever crazy opportunity pops up next. We are small by design. So, we
hire carefully.

You Must

  • Help develop strategic agency communication plans and get your hands
    dirty leading the execution, including the development of pitch materials
    and social content
  • Know the ins-and- outs of our industry and help identify opportunities to
    make our agency known, including awards, op-eds, speaking
    engagements and more
  • Own our agency relationships with key media contacts in our industry
  • Be a captivating writer and have the ability to deeply understand and
    deliver our agency voice and personality in all communications
  • Look at each piece of the pie in new and unexpected ways; challenge
    conventions and assumptions and inspire us to do the same
  • Lead internal stakeholders to ensure projects are on brief, on budget, and
    on time
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the overall media and social landscapes
  • Embody the values of The Variable while maintaining a positive attitude
    and dedication
  • Have an interest outside of PR that you are just as passionate about as
    PR (we are firm believers in work/life balance…we need to know you love
    something else)

You Have

  • 3-5 years of agency experience and a track record of being awesomely
    awesome (if your clients and colleagues will cry when you resign, that’s a
    good indicator that you’re awesomely awesome)
  • Innate strategic thinking skills with a desire to sharpen them under the
    tutelage of our strategic thinkers
  • Proven track record of delivering inspiring, effective work
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with agency leaders
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital and social PR channels
  • The motivation to always deliver the best work without micromanagement
  • The coveted skills of organization, detail-orientation and multi-task- ation
