The Variable is looking for a rad human being who is seeking their next challenge in the digital space. Our ideal candidate has 8+ years of dedicated digital analytics experience and is excited to lead an innovative agency’s measurement and insights capabilities. You will sit at the intersection of Brand Strategy, Media Strategy, Social and Community. You will need to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with agency leadership to help refine our approach to audience development, measurement of paid, earned and owned initiatives, and design clear methodologies for determining the value of digital activities.

With a keen understanding of a client’s industry and business objectives, you will help The Variable add dimension to its differentiated approach to agency work across strategic planning, media, social, and creative. You will ensure quality, integrity and thoroughness on data studies, insight developments, client analytics and reporting.

We are looking for a person who is insight-minded, enjoys seeking patterns and thinking critically about digital’s consistently changing behavior, platforms, and metrics. We need a strong collaborator and communicator that has managed reporting across paid campaigns, organic channels/content and digital activations.

Solid knowledge of Google Analytics is a must, Adobe experience is a plus.


  • RESEARCH & AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT: Lead studies of big and small datasets to uncover insights into consumer behavior and conversations occurring both offline and online. Specifically guide Social Strategists and Analysts in delivering category/audience insights. 
  • STRATEGIC GUIDANCE: Work with teams to better understand demographics within targeted consumer segments and enhance media buys. Collaborate with leads on selecting meaningful KPIs for digital and social programs.  
  • CLIENT LEADERSHIP: Lead and assist in the creation and delivery of presentations. Be able to visualize data for impact and storytelling. Be a strong presenter and confidence-inspiring team member
  • ANALYSIS & MEASUREMENT: Create standardization for analysis and reporting using multiple reporting tools including Google Analytics and all major media platform tools. Be able to build standards and processes for holistic measurement. Be well-versed in all social platform metrics and nuances, and a rapid learner as they evolve.
  • SOCIAL & COMMUNITY: Collaborate with our Director of Social to define our social measurement approach to Earned and Owned activity as platforms, consumer behavior, and content delivery/engagement mechanisms change rapidly.  
  • CAPABILITIES & OFFERINGS:  Collaborate with agency leaders to invent new approaches to insight development and create new sources of revenue for the agency through new service capabilities, new startups, product creation or other means. Assess The Variable’s current data technologies and work streams to identify areas for refinement and future product/service development. 


  • Experience using multiple Social Listening Tools (eg. Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Netbase, etc)
  • Experience using multiple Social Channel Analytic Tools (eg. Sprout, Later, SimplyMeasured, Sprinklr, etc)
  • Experience using Social Platform Reporting Suites (Facebook, Google, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.)
  • Experience using Data Visualization Tools (eg.Tableau, Adobe, Power BI)
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube with an aptitude for emerging social platforms
  • Have 8+ years of social or digital experience, preferably with experience work with or in strategy, media, or analytics roles
