We are on the hunt for an individual to assist with the expansion of the agency’s media expertise into current and new social channels. This person will provide thought leadership on the future of social; particularly around media, data integration and attribution. If this role was a craft coffee it would be one part Associate Media Director with a double shot of Paid Social Specialist.

You will be responsible for guiding the overall media channel approach across clients and offering a vision for both the short-term and long-term media channel strategy. The right person for this role will have an agency growth mindset for their specialty.


  • Deeply understand an individual channel or specialty and provide strong expertise for ongoing insights.
  • Handle ongoing client communication when channel-specific needs arise including client onboarding, ongoing education, collaboration sessions, media reporting, questions, concerns, etc.
  • Own any necessary presentations for channel and/or specialty needs and contribute to both strategic and/or engagement planning decks as well as plan details decks.
  • Clearly communicate any significant changes to the media group with a point of view for how it should impact plans or data reporting going forward.
  • Develop internal relationships with account, strategy and creative/content teams to ensure specialty knowledge is infused throughout the agency and channel deliverables are necessary and strong for media needs.
  • Train more junior media team members on the channel or specialty and provide opportunities for ongoing outreach and education.
  • Develop strong partner/vendor relationships that are mutually beneficial and bring value to clients.
  • Look for new ways to monetize channel offerings within the agency and bring those ideas forward in thoughtful ways, including the growing social ecommerce channel.
  • Observe challenges and bring solutions, ideas and options for those challenges to planning lead.
  • Assist supervisors and planners on channel-specific plan details and help troubleshoot any issues or problems.
  • Participate in new business efforts for channel-specific expertise needs and be brought in to develop content and/or present when in-depth media knowledge is necessary.


  • 7+ years of social media experience in an agency environment
  • Deep experience with major social platforms to design best-in-class, platform-specific plans
  • Desire to do new and interesting things in the social space
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of social platform reporting suites, capabilities, as well as a vision for data & analytics needs as the marketplace quickly evolve
  • Experience collaborating with internal agency teams as well as managing major social platform partner relationships
  • A proven track record in hiring, training, mentoring and developing social and media team members
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • D2C / commerce experience is a major plus
