We are seeking an insightful, creative Associate Strategy Director to join our brand strategy team. This position can be fully remote, or hybrid if you’re based in our hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Think of the role as part brand planner, part communications planner, part research pro and part business strategist. You always bring a strategic point of and are interested in solving problems that impact the clients’ business and our creative work. You have the confidence to lead a client and agency team through a brand development process and towards a disruptive, indifference-fighting insight and brand strategy. You know that it’s not just about brand frameworks, positionings, messaging strategies and creative briefs…but about unlocking a powerful solution. You can own a room and tell an inspiring story. And you thrive in fast-moving, ever-changing environments.

You have at least 8 years of advertising agency experience shaping brand strategy on high profile consumer and B2B brands. Experience in automotive, fin tech or consumer durables is a plus. You have an analytical skill set, with experience deploying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, as well as the latest customer insight methods. You bring an impressive ability to translate brand strategy into disruptive brand behaviors. Simply put, you work high and low— not only can you can crack a brand strategy, but you can effectively work across teams to activate it across platforms and throughout the customer journey.


  • 8+ years of planning experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Past examples of your work demonstrating ability to provide clear and inspiring strategies to guide creative and media decisions
  • Integrated planning experience across multi-channel campaign executions
  • Ability to translate consumer understanding to indifference-fighting insights
  • Excellent reasoning abilities: defining problems, collecting information, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions based upon information furnished in written, oral or visual form
  • A collaborative mindset: proven ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams
