Your title will simply say Office Manager. Because that’s a heckuva lot shorter than Agency Office-Opener, Calendar-Organizer, Lobby-Decorator, Meeting-Maker, Travel-Coordinator, Client-Greeter, Event-Coordinator and Happiness-Manager.

If you’re up to the task, as the Office Manager of The Variable you’ll own the office operations and strive to make sure nothing falls through the cracks; someone who demonstrates a “can do” attitude and will relentlessly pursue solutions to any office need.

The Office Manager will serve as the first point of contact at The Variable, greeting guests and fielding phone calls. To succeed in this position, you will need to anticipate the needs of the office, employees and our clients.

The ideal candidate brings 1-3+ years of experience in office administration to the table. This person is detail-oriented with the desire to learn and grow in an innovative and highly creative environment.

YOU MUST

  • Open, prepare and maintain the office
  • Manage inventory of office and kitchen supplies
  • Manage office mail and mailing supplies
  • Greet guests and field phone calls
  • Serve as point of contact for office related vendors
  • Review daily calendar to determine where “special assistance” to staff may be needed, e.g. food, refreshments for client meetings
  • Make travel arrangements for executives
  • Coordinate events
  • Assist with other projects/tasks as necessary

YOU HAVE

  • 1-3+ years of experience in office administration
  • Minimum of associates degree in business administration preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability to multi-task
