As a producer at The Variable, you will be responsible for all of the usual agency producer things but you need to know we are going to ask so much more of you. We want a producer that wants to do exactly that, produce. We want you to be on top of your work, but we also want you to itch that creative itch and to find an innovative way to do it.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, we are going to make things… lots of things. We are going to deliver for our client at the highest level possible and create our own ideas that keep us fulfilled as creative beings. When those two things overlap, we all win.

We want someone who will find his/her place within the current team. To succeed you need to be creative, a diplomat, a therapist, know about budgets, have a good eye, keep calm under pressure, have high-level organizational skills, be able to think quickly on your feet and know how to stretch a buck. You need to be thick-skinned, self-starting, good in a group and willing to pitch in on whatever crazy opportunity pops up next. We are small by design. So we hire carefully.

YOU Have

  • 4+ years experience as an agency producer or time in a similar production environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to quickly understand new technology concepts.
  • The mindset to work truly integrated – with experience in producing campaign deliverables consisting of TV, digital, print, outdoor, social and experiential. Or if not all of these areas, has the ability and appetite to adapt to them.
  • The ability to assemble the right people and tools to serve the job.



  • Embrace and evolve your skills for multiple styles of creative and deliverables – and can adapt to other projects that need an additional creative vision.
  • Manages your workflow efficiently and takes responsibility for delivering on time.
  • Create estimates and schedules for projects.
  • Keep vendors on budget and on schedule.
  • Facilitate the triple bidding process
  • Manage SAG requirements for signatory clients, read and create an AICP bid, and understand all the other acronyms that come with the job.
  • Create great work under any circumstances.
