We are on the hunt for an individual to help guide the agency’s media expertise. This person will provide thought leadership on the future of media, data integration and attribution. If this role was a craft coffee it would be one part general media specialist with a shot of performance expertise.

You will be responsible for guiding the overall media channel approach across clients and offering a vision for both the short-term and long-term media channel strategy. The right person for this role will have an agency growth mindset and strong range of client experience.

YOU MUST:

  • Deeply understand the media planning and buying process with ability to provide expertise and ongoing insights
  • Handle ongoing client communication when media needs arise including client onboarding, ongoing media education, collaboration sessions, media reporting, questions, concerns, etc
  • Own any necessary presentations for strategic media planning, as well as plan detail decks
  • Have solid experience collaborating with internal agency teams, as well as external resources
  • Develop internal relationships with account, strategy and creative/content teams to ensure media knowledge is infused throughout the agency and to help ensure processes produce best-in-class deliverables
  • Train more junior media team members on media channels and provide opportunities for ongoing outreach and education
  • Develop strong partner/vendor relationships that are mutually beneficial and bring value to clients
  • Look for new ways to monetize channel offerings within the agency and bring those ideas forward in thoughtful ways
  • Observe challenges and bring solutions, ideas and options for those challenges to the department lead
  • Help troubleshoot any issues or problems with supervisors and planners on dedicated accounts
  • Participate in new business efforts in both strategy and presenting when needed

YOU HAVE:

  • 7+ years of media experience in an agency environment
  • Deep experience planning across major media channels and media platforms
  • Desire to do new and interesting things in the media space
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of reporting suites and changes in the data marketplace
  • Experience collaborating with strategy and creative teams
  • A proven track record in training, mentoring, and developing media team members
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • D2C / commerce experience is a major plus
